"There are two type of bird photographers. The first would log into Bird Forums and look for tips where to photograph birds and the other would go out in the field to hunt for them him or herself " more in our current issue of the PHOTO JOURNEY e-newsletter.
We like to welcome our new batch of participants to the Basic photography class 12/B01 "A photograph is more than just A gift to bring or send. And more than just the likeness of A relative or friend. It is a kindly greeting and A memory to hold. Of happy times and pleasant things. However new or old. It is a mirror that reflects Companionship and cheer. And now and then the wistfulness That turns into a tear. A photograph is something to Adorn a desk or wall. Or carry in a pocket and Display to one and all. It is a faithful portrait The smile that friendship shares To add its sunshine and to show That someone really cares." [/caption] This is my first photography trip and i definitely learn a lot. The visit to the kampong was truly an eye opener. The old uncle took a lot of effort to preserve the relics. Use to be taking photos of the food that my fiancee & i ordered on our iPhones. Quite actually we didn't know how to take a good shot just take it as it is.. in the plate I am glad that alex did point out the difference.. The lodging was great, i love the atmosphere. The staffs are courteous & attentive to your news. I was awe by the fact that they have someone to look after your car. Will definitely head to the same hotel the next time. The strait mosque was magnificent. Never knew such a structure exist by the sea side Tried a couple of the sunset shots and mosque. Makes me want to get the filter after alex took the nice picturesque photo of the mosque. Some of the structures & collection along jonker's walk is amazing.. Did manage to snap afew of those to keep as remembrance. Stop by a few shops to browse the goods & food stuff. I visited to St. Paul's hill & A'Famosa fort during my primary and secondary school days, twenty over years back This trip brought back memories.. answering quizzes hand out by the history teachers and the non stop chatting as well as photo taking. The building is still as magnificent as before, a lot of new buildings has sprung up all around it. We should have more of this kind of trips. Though the guide is even more important. But i totally understand that leading this kind of trip [...]

In line with MWC's overarching theme for this year, Embracing Differences, the photo exhibition dis- played 30 photographs of migrant workers @ Work, Live and Play. The images were captured by the Labour Movement youth wing's photography group, Team Young NTUC 20/20, a professional group born from young, union activists. The three-day exhibition was launched through the piecing-together of a photo jig- saw puzzle depicting migrant workers of different nationalities by special guests, Guest-of-Honour Minister of State for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin, Co-chairman of the Migrant Workers' Forum Kenneth Loo, Chairman of Young NTUC Benjamin Tang, as well two migrant workers under- MWC's care. The exhibition was open to the public and ended on 23 December 2011. Aimed at generating greater awareness amongst the Singaporean public of migrant workers @ Work, Live and Play, the event served to give Singaporeans an insight into the lives of migrant workers here. MWC hopes to promote greater understanding and acceptance of the migrant workers in our midst, as well as enhance the integration and harmonious co-existence between migrants and locals at the workplace and in the community.
