Over the last weekend, a 'bunch' for us gathered to catch up. Chewing on BBQ CHICKEN wings, salad, beehoon, curry and Fanta grape - we began talking about organizing more overseas photo trips. With our continuous efforts to make this an all inclusive club, we had published a quarterly e-newsletter " PHOTOJOURNEY ". Our basic photography class 11/B02 concluded on 02 Aug, some of the participant proceeded to our intermediate class where they will be learning advance technique and how to operate and effectively execute flash photography.

Our intermediate class concluded with an attempt to capture an artistic group photo .... so artistic that we managed to 'whitewash' some of the faces :p Well, all of us understood that we should try to keep our body as still as possible during the exposure. Like saying goes 'some just can't stay still' heh hei... even though the group photo was not entire successful, we all had tons of fun! 
Taiwan is a great place for photography. Be it the rural farmlands, urban skyscrapers or endless waves crashing onto the peaceful beaches facing different oceans, there will be something for you. During my 2 weeks there, my friends and I had travelled by their various mode of transport. Namely high speed railway (Taiwan Highspeed Railway THSR), normal railway (Taiwan Railway Administration TRA), train (Kaoshiung Rapid Transit Corporation – KRTC, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation - TRTC), cab and if you are brave enough, self drive. Although Taiwan is left hand drive and international driving license is needed, the time saved from travelling is still worthwhile.
At Kenting, the most southern part of Taiwan, we travelled to the mountains and remote locations made possible only by car. Afterwhich, we travelled by train to Meishan located near Alishan, for its sour plums, mountains and waterfall. Repairs are still ongoing, years after 88 typhoon (Typhoon Morakot).
We drove to Ji Ji, which was the earthquake epic centre before making our way to Sun Moon Lake. The ferry tickets are half price if purchased the day before and we ferried around the 3 sites for walkabout and sightseeing. Following which, we continued ea [...]
